Hello SMB Deal Hunters!
I’m excited to share 5 new deals worth checking out.
Today’s issue is sponsored by DueDilio, the leading marketplace & advisory for hiring highly vetted M&A due diligence service providers.
1/ Recession Resilient Trucking Company: Disposal Hauling & Trucking
📍 Location: Nevada
💰 Asking Price: $2,600,000
💼 Cash Flow: $1,147,272
📊 Revenue: $4,269,700
📅 Established: 2004
💭 My 2 Cents: I like the disposal hauling industry because it comes with recurring revenue and contracts since businesses and households need regular waste disposal services. This specific business is priced very well and comes with newer equipment valued at $800,000. The business specializes in business, municipal, and construction disposal and it’s great that it comes with a team of experienced drivers. I’d want to better understand what existing contracts come with the business (since it’s been around for almost 20 years!) and how long the average customer sticks around for.

2/ Manufacturer of Nursing Home/Hospital/Business Décor & Fixtures
📍 Location: Illinois
💰 Asking Price: N/A
💼 EBITDA: $800,000
📊 Revenue: $6,000,000
📅 Established: 31+ years of operation
💭 My 2 Cents: This is a niche business that designs and produces artwork, wall décor, large format printing, signage, and furnishings for the healthcare, hospitality, and corporate industries. They focus on senior living and memory care, which is a market that’s expected to grow to $140.8 billion by 2030. What caught my eye is that they have 200 active accounts with an 84% rate of repeat business. They also have a fully built-out team of 26 employees. I think there is an interesting opportunity here to leverage their industry reputation for geographic expansion.

3/ Highly Profitable Events Equipment Rental Company
📍 Location: New York
💰 Asking Price: $2,000,000
💼 Cash Flow: $561,687
📊 Revenue: $2,689,776
📅 Established: 1950s
💭 My 2 Cents: This company rents out tents, chairs, tablecloths, dishes, stages, etc. to a wide range of customers such as homeowners, venues and restaurants, schools, places of worship, caterers, and charities. What’s impressive is over 90% of its business is from repeat customers. I also like that the business is for sale by 2 retiring owners, one of whom is willing to stay on for 5 years, which significantly de-risks a transition to new ownership.

In Partnership With DueDilio
Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Skip Due Diligence…
A friend of mine put a business under LOI and asked me for my advice.
I recommended he contract a 3rd party due diligence partner to rebuild the company's P&L from scratch.
Turns out their EBITDA was off by 2x 😳

4/ Leading South Central Texas Hospitality Supplies Distributor
📍 Location: Texas
💰 Asking Price: $5,500,000
💼 Cash Flow: $1,051,200
📊 Revenue: $5,481,700
📅 Established: 2013
💭 My 2 Cents: This is a 10-year-old business from a retiring owner that distributes hospitality supplies. What I like about this industry is it lends itself to repeat business. Hotels and restaurants need regular supplies (i.e. linens, tableware, toiletries, cleaning supplies) and these items need to be replaced or restocked frequently, leading to recurring orders from the distributors. I like that this business already has a General Manager in place. Plus, there is no heavy client concentration: the top 10 customers only represent 16% of revenue.

5/ Mobile Cardiac Imaging Company
📍 Location: Alachua County, FL
💰 Asking Price: $2,700,000
💼 EBITDA: $668,000
📊 Revenue: $1,450,000
📅 Established: 2001
💭 My 2 Cents: If you’re not familiar, mobile cardiac imaging companies offer diagnostic services set up in specially-designed trucks or vans which can travel to different locations, including patients' homes, community health centers, clinics, hospitals, etc. This approach makes cardiac imaging more accessible for individuals living in remote areas, or for those who have difficulty traveling. They often partner with healthcare providers to offer their services. This may include general practitioners who lack the necessary equipment, nursing homes or long-term care facilities, or even larger hospitals that need additional support to meet high demand. If you’re interested in the healthcare sector, this is a business with strong EBITDA margins (25%) and selling for a reasonable multiple.
