💭 My 2 Cents: Med spas often trade at insanely unreasonable multiples because of all the roll-up activity, but this is not one of them! I like that the reason for the sale is that the owner is retiring, and that the owner would consider offering seller financing. Though this medspa appears to have great profit margins, it’ll be important to figure out what the true replacement cost of the owner is.
2/ Cash Monster Sports Collectible Business with 2022 EBITDA of $861,000!
📍 Location: Atlanta, GA
💰 Asking Price: $2,500,000
💼 Cash Flow: $916,452
📊 Revenue: $1,500,000
📅 Established: 2000
💭 My 2 Cents: This sports memorabilia business combines a retail location in Atlanta with online sales. The profit margins do scream “cash monster,” at over 60%, but I’m curious how the margins on retail vs DTC compare. The listing claims that 80% of customers are repeat, but don’t confuse that with the repurchase rate. A high repeat rate could indicate underspending on new customer acquisition.

3/ Farm and Ranch Tractor Dealership with Service

📊 Revenue: $4,900,897
📅 Established: 1973
💭 My 2 Cents: I recently heard at a conference how difficult it is to get your foot in the door with the big farm and ranch tractor dealerships and was frankly surprised to see this one for sale. Established many moons ago, this business not only has great margins but is also being sold for a mind-boggling 2x cash flow. The only catch I see is that the property is available for sale for $1,000,000 and must be sold with the business. Better get that real estate appraised!

💭 My 2 Cents: This is a primarily Amazon FBA business, but a very solid one. It has a No. 1 Best Seller’s Badge in its product category with over 11,000 positive reviews. The remainder 10% of its sales are on other marketplaces and DTC, but given the fact that its AOV is quite low ($21), the opportunity to scale is going to be limited on DTC unless the strategy is completely different so that the business can afford to spend on paid social or there is a strong repurchase rate (which is certainly possible in this hobbyist category).

💭 My 2 Cents: This party rental company services all five NYC boroughs and the tri-state area with cooking/serving equipment, dinnerware and dishware, tables/chairs, and tent rentals. The 90% repeat customer rate speaks to its reputation in the area. This business is seasonal (with fewer customers in the winter months) so you’ll have to account for that if you need to service any debt that you take on for the acquisition. That being said, with all the demand in the tri-state area, bringing on additional sales resources could serve as a great growth opportunity.
